Dear Guests: We welcome you to Wedgewood Inn, now celebrating 20 years of service to the traveling public. Looking back, we can easily see how our early beginnings have lead us to this grand anniversary year. Take advantage of our "Celebration Special" - valid Thanksgiving 2006 to 2007.

A note about our past: For many years, prior to purchasing the inn, we enjoyed a lifestyle of entertaining and hospitality. Vic was working for IBM at the time and decided to retire after putting in 30 years. this is when we decided to embark on the profession of innkeeping. After looking at existing inns and historic Victorian houses, we decided to build a replica to best serve our guest's needs ... in the perfect location.

The inn is furnished with antiques that we have collected over the past 47 years. Jeannine is the decorator and has even made all the lampshades throughout the inn.

Much like their guests, Vic and Jeannine enjoy traveling to unique B&B Inns.

Our hobbies include: Jeannine enjoys counted cross-stitch and is actively engaged as the Queen Mother of the Amadorables Red Hat group. Vic works with stained glass, gold prospecting, Model-T Ford maintenance, computers (IBM compatibles, of course) and the Internet, plus buying/selling on Ebay. They both are active in music with Vic singing and Jeannine playing piano.

BREAKFAST CUISINE

Breakfast is served on fine Royal Albert English bone china or Westmoreland milkglass at 9 a.m. in the dining room.

If you are in the Carriage House, we can serve you on your private patio (weather permitting).

For honeymooners and others on a different schedule, we can serve breakfast in our four larger rooms or in our Conservatory sun-room, by request.

We sometimes serve dessert first at the Wedgewood.
Pictured above: On some mornings, we served French Vanilla ice cream on top of a baked Jonagold apple, Cranberry/Orange muffin and fresh ground Starbuck's House Blend coffee. The juice is Jeannine's secret blend. The china is Royal Albert "Memory Lane" and the juice glass is Fostoria. The main course is yet to come ... a full gourmet breakfast featuring Cheese-filled Blintzes, Vic's Baked Custard French Toast or Eggs ala Wedgewood with currant oatmeal scones, cherry banana nut muffins or Amador cinnamon swirl coffeecake.

Meet Baron Wagsmore von Schnitzel, aka Wags: born July 20, 1998 in a litter of seven. He's a big boy now; eight years old and weighs 26 pounds. The breeders are Jeff and Karyn Dionne of Wagsmore Kennels. His philosophy of life includes:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joy ride.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.
Let others know when they've invaded your territory.
Take naps and stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree.
When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout...run right back
  and make friends.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
Be loyal.
Never pretend to be something you're not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.
